Hello, my name is Ashley!
The story of Jims Auto Keys starts with my father “Jim”. More than 30 years ago, Jim created a company called “Jims Towbars” which as the name suggests, is a towbar fitting company. it currently stands as England’s longest running mobile towbar fitting service.
I joined my Dad in the company, alongside my brother James, more than 15 years ago. A few years ago, I found myself in a very stressful situation in which I was without car keys for several of my own personal vehicles. Being in this situation led me into the world of auto locksmiths and I decided I wanted to learn all there was to know about this section of the automotive trade that I had been a part of for so many years.
Enthusiastically, I enrolled in an intensive training program, bought all of the required key cutting and coding equipment needed and I became my first customer. From that moment, Jims Auto Key was born and I’ve had the pleasure of helping many others out of a sticky situation, one that I know all too well!
The three of us still work together for Jims Towbars, as we enjoy the family element whilst running a successful business, however Jims Auto Keys is now an extension of this.
